Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Files and content: We store the photos, videos, and other files you upload to the Service. These files are your property and are stored solely to provide the Service to you.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including login times, pages visited, uploads performed, and galleries created. This data is used to improve the Service and troubleshoot issues.
Client data: When your clients access a gallery or complete a payment, we collect their email address and transaction information. This data is used solely to facilitate the delivery and payment process.
Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Service may not function correctly without them.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

- Send transactional emails (receipts, delivery notifications, account alerts)

Service providers: We work with third-party providers who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing) and OVHcloud (cloud storage infrastructure). These providers process your data only as necessary to perform their services and are bound by data protection agreements.
Your clients: When you share a gallery link with a client, that client can access the gallery content you've made available. We do not share your account information or other client data with individual clients.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process (such as a court order or government request).
Business transfers: If DAT Drives is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your files and data are stored on OVHcloud's S3-compatible object storage infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest, to protect your data.
Access to your files is controlled through authenticated links and payment-gated permissions. We do not allow unauthorized third parties to access your files.
Despite our security measures, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your account.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and files for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, your files are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion to allow time for data export.
Client transaction data is retained for as long as necessary to comply with financial record-keeping requirements, typically 7 years.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
